i don't even want to talk about it.
i feel like i don't know this country anymore. when did all these conservatives get so damn angry?
i'm a liberal because i believe that everyone should have health care, a bed to sleep in, and food to eat. because i believe that every child, no matter how poor or rich, or what color they are, should have good basic education. because i want to make sure that every child is a wanted child, through real sex education (not this abstinence-only rigamarole), better reproductive care, available contraceptives, and the option of early and safe abortion. because i believe that any two people in love should be allowed to get married if they want to, and that cohabiting civil unions should have the same legal rights if they don't want to get married. because i want to promote peace, diplomacy, and the safety of people outside my own national borders. because i actually believe in america, and i want to help make it what it was meant to be, and still can be.
when did these things become evil?
