because i need a little levity

apparently i'm hosting a debate in my guestbook. please, by all means continue. but please: if you're going to make points, back them up. and if you're going to start a debate with me, leave an address for pete's sake!

otherwise, i'm doing something i've never done in this diary. i'm posting a conversation. with one of my favorite internet buddies.

BeatPoetGrrl: i love this man: http://www.theonionavclub.com/avclub3911/avfeature_3911.html

starsandunicorns: haha

BeatPoetGrrl: my best friend and i have such a crush on crispin glover.

starsandunicorns: awww

BeatPoetGrrl: crushes?

starsandunicorns: yes crushes are cute.

starsandunicorns: i think it would be crushes

BeatPoetGrrl: i think crushes tell you a lot about a person.

starsandunicorns: yeah?

BeatPoetGrrl: i have crushes on: alan alda in M*A*S*H, ethan hawke (but only in great expectations & reality bites), crispin glover, and ewan macgregor because i saw him in a special about polar bears on national geographic. so what does that say about me?

starsandunicorns: it says that you like literary guys especially with accents. musicians (Even though none of them are) and tall lanky boys.

BeatPoetGrrl: yes, yes, yes, and yes. but you forgot the bizarre sense of humor coupled with sensitivity and the ability to be a great big dork. (you should've seen how little-kid excited ewan got when they let him drive the big ice truck)

starsandunicorns: awwwww

BeatPoetGrrl: so if i could find that i'd be set.

starsandunicorns: well i hope you do

BeatPoetGrrl: i'm smiling a wry little smile right now, just so you know.

starsandunicorns: hahaha how come

BeatPoetGrrl: what would you give as the odds of finding a tall lanky literary musician with an accent & a quirky sense of humor?

long shot or what, people?

To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public.
