it is indeed a sad day for our heroine.

there's a certain nostalgia connected to the last snow of the season...that march snowstorm when the flakes surprise you and make the world seem clean and white one last time.

this was not one of those snowstorms. it started with ice, moved to rain, then sleet, then snowflakes the size of my fist, then ice again. and the best part? nobody woke up this morning! i walked out the door all ready to go, keys in hand, to find...all the cars still in the driveway! pater omnipotens' alarm clock never went off, and he hadn't gotten up for work. so it was a morning of tracking down car keys and navigating the sheet of ice that was my street with the sheets of ice that were Older Brother's and Dad's cars. went from being perfectly on time to being 25 minutes late for work, yet again.

talked to another guy from the personals this week, this time from outside philly...we like to exchange useless trivia. for instance, a group of frogs is called an army, while a group of toads is called a knot. and the fact that he would like to meet me for coffee. but i'm wondering if the distance between me and outside philly is too much to consider a relationship. however much the internet may be able to convince us otherwise, geography does actually play a role in dating. it's a bitch, too, because there are all kinds of really interesting people who live in other places, even right here on diaryland (moonie and i figured out the other day that our old chat crowd actually covered at least five countries on two continents. go figure.).

bah, i'm tired of working. i want to be unemployed again, but still have money. how exactly does one go about being a welfare queen? i suppose the first step is to become a republican myth, and go from there. i signed up for an extra shift at work (after they screwed me out of my sick pay last month, i need all the geld i can get). 7-11pm, $75 flat; at least i'll get to go home from 3:30-6:30, though naturally i'll have no social life again.

i took one of Mother Dearest's muscle pills, and it's knocking me out like L.L. Cool J. goodnight everybody.
