i'm being pathetic on a saturday night. anyone shocked by this?
i have a "date" tomorrow. if meeting a virtual stranger for coffee in the middle of the afternoon can qualify for that title, anyway. it seemed more or less safe. i wanted to go back to new hope this weekend anyway, and it's in the middle of the day so we could either hang out in town or go our separate ways after said beverage drinking. (i'm always looking for ways to insulate myself)
so the guy i already knew apparently had a fabulous date; they've made plans to see each other again. hell at least someone has managed to find each other through the personal ads. at this point i'm actually looking through them trying to find the worst of the bunch, because it's fun.
wanting to see how i measure up (or some other such insecure thing) i started checking out the other "women seeking men" profiles today. i came to the conclusion that there are a whole lot of really kickass girls out there within 50 miles of me. then i revisited the "men seeking women" profiles and i realized that, while some of these guys are fairly interesting, the vast majority are complete tools. so i'm wondering exactly what this means for the state of dating in the northern new jersey area...are we girls just ahead of the technology curve when it comes to dating, or are all the guys around here really heinous?
i think this entry has had enough. or i've had enough of it. i'm tired of trying to sound interesting and intelligent and witty.
