it's either early in the morning or late at night, depending on how you look at it...but either way, it's been quite an interesting day.

so i had class tonight (using shamanic techniques to release your creative spirit). apparently my creative spirit manifests itself as a mouse named little. it's a bit weird but then again in shamanic tradition the little mouse (associated with the direction south) embodies innocence and intuition, so i'll take it as highly complimentary. i was the only person there for class, and so we all asked the question "in what direction does my next path lie?" and i am supposed to be an activist and healer...in the sense that i am to keep right on doing what i'm doing, taking care of people and speaking out. and it was backed up by the visions (or whatever one calls them) of two very strong shamanic women. be as skeptical as you want, but try explaining how all of us found the same answer without speaking.

on a related note: the young women's discussion group/resource center has funding! for the time being, i won't have to write any grant proposals! or do any fundraising! and how, you may ask, did this come about? well, there's an art therapy group for girls starting this month, and the town allianec had set aside funding for it. but the art therapy group got funding from another town alliance, and so the funds allocated for that group are going to mine! talk about serendipity.

also, julie, the head youth center person, knows someone professional who may be willing to work as an advisor in case things get out of my league. so it looks like it's really gonna happen kids! (thanks to all those who kept their fingers crossed for me)

tonight at $1 margarita night i saw a really cool guy that i met through Younger Brother. his name is doug. apparently he's a schizophrenic narcoleptic and people think he's weird, but to me he just seems like a really nice smart guy. hmmm, maybe there is a fine line between genius and insanity. maybe i'm closer to that line than i thought i was...oh who'm i kidding? i'm doing a tango on that line & lovin it!
