president bush, does it hurt to be that stupid? i honestly can't believe that there are people in this country who voted for this man. the Kyoto Protocol is probably in itself too little too late, and this man wants to argue that there's no reason to agree to control greenhouse gases. of course i probably shouldn't be surprised, since this is the same guy who thinks arsenic in drinking water isn't a big deal. (of course, daddy bush made a fortune producing greenhouse gases...)

i recently read an open letter by william heyen about global warming...according to some scientists, we could all be dead in less than a hundred years. whats going to matter then? none of our art, our philosophy, the entire human tradition, is going to be worth anything if we all kill ourselves. so what should we focus on? call me crazy, but i'm gonna vote for not dying .

its not bad enough that dubya is touring europe to denounce Kyoto, he's also trying to sell his new star wars ideas. i was six in the reagan era, and i thought star wars sounded ridiculous!

what's the deal?

i think the best statement to sum this whole thing up is from a protest poster in madrid: "Bush, imbecile, the world is not your ranch."
